I believe in the power of a well-crafted story…
…to capture people’s attention and engage them with a message.
I started out on my storytelling journey through art at an early age, drawing pictures of all kinds of people, scenarios and cartoons. Pursuing my love of artmaking into college, I trained in fashion design and art history.
After graduating, I was able to combine my education with my love of storytelling, by curating museum exhibitions. I was able to bring a community’s past to life by telling stories, illustrated by historic artifacts, clothing, photos and artwork.
My next professional step was into higher education, where I have spent the better part of my career developing marketing communications, websites, social media, events and other forms of online and experiential outreach. During this time, I earned my M.S. in Communication.
Working in a university environment and supervising student writers, designers and video/photographers is fun and challenging. I am continually steeped in new ideas, optimism, creativity and vitality.
Through my work, I have also developed a passion for the health and wellness of individuals and communities. In 2018 I fulfilled a dream of becoming a certified yoga instructor. I am passionate about helping people, especially those over 50, live healthy and creatively inspired lives!
I continue to make art and experiment with different media and genres. The driving forces in my art are the exploration of color through abstracts, illustrations, seascapes, as well as the visual expression of spirituality.
